The Wedding

We're far too excited to finally be able to enjoy our wedding day with those who we love close by. Since we were engaged, it's been a rather hectic and bumpy time; completing our education, losing a loved one, moving abroad, new jobs, growing up blah blah.
But finally, we'll have the opportunity to celebrate with everyone we love and we hope you enjoy every moment just as much as we do!

The City of York

If you're one of our fabulous guests who are travelling from far and wide, you may want to make the most out of our wedding day and spend a little time in the city of York! It will be Christmas after all, and Christmas shopping in York is lovely!
So if you're planning on making a trip of it, there's some definite must-see and do's across the city.

Wedding Parties

You know all about us two, but what about the people supporting us on one of the biggest days of our lives? Introducing our bridal party and groomsmen!

- Honorary Bridesmaid, Jessica Fielding -

While she won't be able to join us on our wedding day, Jessica will very much be a huge part of it. My little sister, our star in the sky... And the one who'll no doubt be sharing sloppy kisses to us all on our special day!

Our Story

Way back in the earlier months of 2010, we were purely strangers. At the time, I knew only David's friend (and now, one of three best men) Warren as a result of, well, bad relationship choices. Right, Warren!?

It's lucky I had the opportunity to get to know him actually, as without Warren, I wouldn't have been celebrating St. Patrick's Day in The Miners, Garforth. It was here that a rather drunk David decided to sit on my knee and introduce himself. You can imagine I wasn't best pleased... But following a spot of small talk via Facebook and what not, I came to forgive him.
Following a rather random kebab night at Warren's, we decided it would be fun to all go on a double date! Unfortunately, it turned out only David and I could make it.

Accommodations

With our venue being just outside York City Center, there's plenty of hotels around the area. Here's a list of some of the accommodations that are local to Sandburn Hall and the surrounding areas, provided by the Sandburn team.

Travel Information

It's really easy to find our wedding venue, Sandburn Hall! In fact, it roughly only takes 35 minutes if you're heading from Garforth to reach it... Just head straight down the A64!

The Proposal

On June 9th 2013, I was laid sunbathing around the luxurious pool of on of the Palm Jumeirah's five star hotels, with a book in hand, a cocktail to my side and sunglasses making their white marks on my face. Throughout the entire day I barely moved; only to take a dip now and again in the pool and use the facilities. Drinks were brought to both David and I, food was brought too. It was a glorious, lazy day at the beginning of Dubai's summer.
